Byron Mook has lived and worked in India, Sri Lanka, and Sudan. He has been on the faculties of Duke University (USA), the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex (UK), and Wageningen University and Research Centre (the Netherlands).
He was one of the original members of senior staff at the International Service for National Agricultural Research. He initiated and led many projects in Asia and Africa, and served as the ISNAR Director of Information Management Services, the Coordinator of Asia Programs, and the Director of Training and Human Resource Development.
Byron has numerous publications, including a book on field-level agricultural and educational administration in India (The World of the Indian Field Administrator, Vikas, New Delhi). He has his Ph.D. from Columbia University in public sector management and administration.
